Australia tour to England 1934. A sheet of official Cambridge University Cricket Club letterhead very nicely signed in ink by the Australian team and others who played Cambridge on their third tour match at Fenners on the 9th-11th May 1934. Signatures are Woodfull, Bradman, Ebeling, Grimmett, Wall, Ponsford, Fleetwood-Smith, Brown, McCabe, Barnett, Darling, being the eleven who played plus Oldfield, Chipperfield and O’Reilly, only lacking Bromley and Kippax from the full touring party. Very good condition
The Australians beat the University by an innings and sixty three runs, Ponsford made 229no, Bill Brown 105 and Darling 98 in Australia’s only innings of 581-5 and bowled the University out for 158 and 160, Grimmett taking nine wickets for 74 runs in the first innings
