All India tour of England 1911 (1st Indian tour). Rare album page very nicely signed in ink by eleven members of the Indian touring party. Signatures are Meherhomji, Bulsara, Syed Hasan [Hussain], Jayaram, Shivram, Baloo, Salam-ud-din, Warden, Mulla, Seshachari and Divecha (Manager). A rare and early page of Indian cricketers’ signatures in very good condition.
After several abortive attempts, the first Indian team to include the three major sections of non- European cricket in India came to England in 1911. An ambitious tour programme was arranged for the team and their record was not very impressive, with only two first class wins, although they were cursed with injury and drop outs throughout the tour.
