‘Gloucestershire’ and ‘Gentlemen’ 1909. Large album page very nicely signed in ink to one side by ten members of the 1909 Gloucestershire team and, to the verso, by the twelve members of the Gentlemen team for the match v Players at the Kennington Oval, 8th- 10th July 1909. Gloucestershire signatures are G.L. Jessop, L.D. Brownlee, J.H. Board, C.W.L. Parker, E.G. Dennett, P.T. Mills, T. Langdon, and the rarer P.P. Barnett (4 matches 1908-1909), A.E. Penduck (5 matches 1908-1909), and W.E. Meyer (11 matches 1909-1910). The Gentlemen signatures are P.F. Warner, C.B. Fry, P.R. Johnson, W.H.B. Evans, E.W. Dillon, H.A. Gilbert, J.W.H.T. Douglas, K.L. Hutchings, D.W. Carr, S.G. Smith, J. Shields, and H.A. Gilbert. 6.75”x9”. Good/ very good condition. Early pre-WWI signatures.
In the 1909 Gentlemen v Players match, Colin Blythe took twelve wickets, the Players winning by 64 runs.
