Kumar Shri Ranjitsinhji. Cambridge University, Sussex, London County & England 1893-1920. Early original four page menu with pictorial wrappers for the ‘Complimentary Dinner to Kumar Shri Ranjitsinhji’ held at the Guildhall, Cambridge, 29th September 1896 in recognition of ‘10 Centuries’ scored in 1896. Real portrait photograph of Ranji laid to front cover with titles, internal pages with Ranji’s career statistics, menu, toast list etc. Rear cover with illustration of ‘Trinity College Gateway’. Loss to rear wrapper corners, foxing, otherwise in good condition. Sold with two mono photographs, originally from c.1882, one of ‘Vicarsbrook’, the home of Louis Borissow, Chaplain of Trinity College, where Ranji stayed on his arrival in England, the other of the bungalow built in the ground of Vicarsbrook to house Ranji’s staff. Both measure 6.25”x4.5”. Good condition. Qty 3.
