Sussex v Lancashire 1889. Early original double sided scorecard with complete printed scores for the match played at Hove, 12th & 13th August 1889. Sussex (64 & 128) lost to Lancashire (225) by an innings and 33 runs. Lancashire’s Alexander Watson (ten wickets in the match) and Johnny Briggs (nine) shared all the wickets to fall to bowlers. Briggs also top scored in the match with 56, Dick Barlow making 55 in their only innings. George Bean of Sussex made 51 in their second innings. Printed by Crowhurst of Brighton. 5”x7.5”.
