‘Authorized Cricket Score. The United Eleven of England versus The Eastbourne Club’ 1866. Early original double sided scorecard for the match played at Eastbourne 20th- 22nd August 1866 with printed scores at the close of the first day’s play. The twenty two of Eastbourne (102 & 128) lost to the United England Eleven (81 & 150/5) by five wickets. For England, Iddison took seventeen wickets in the match and Freeman fifteen, with Thomas Bignall top scorer with 58no in the second innings. The England team also featured John Thewlis, Roger Iddison, James Grundy, Samuel Biddulph, Daniel Hayward etc. For Eastbourne Charles Carpenter, Albert Reed, George ‘Farmer’ Bennett, Thomas Case, James Lillywhite (England 2 Tests), Harry Killick, Charles Ellis etc. Issued by J.
