Surrey C.C.C. County match scorecards 1903-1977. A selection of eleven official scorecards, incomplete printed and/ or handwritten scores unless stated. Earlier pre-war scorecards include one ‘away’ match v Nottinghamshire, Trent Bridge 1st- 3rd June 1903. The remainder all played at Kennington Oval. Matches are v Yorkshire 26th- 28th July 1906 and 17th- 19th August 1911. v Essex 29th May- 1st June 1920. v Somerset 16th- 18th July 1930. v Warwickshire 16th May 1953, complete printed scores, Surrey won by an innings and 49 runs in one day! Alec Bedser took 12 wickets. v Worcestershire 25th & 26th August 1954, Surrey won by an innings and 27 runs, complete printed scores for the ‘Deciding game which made Surrey Champions 1954’, two copies. v Warwickshire 31st August & 2nd September 1957, commemorative silk scorecard for Surrey’s sixth consecutive County Championship title, Surrey won by an innings and 70 runs. v Kent 4th- 7th May 1963. v Derbyshire 9th- 12 July 1977 in which John Edrich scored his hundredth first-class century. Folds to some cards, age toning and soiling to earlier cards, otherwise in good condition.
