‘Bodyline’. M.C.C. tour of Australia & New Zealand 1932/33. ‘The “Gripu” Gallery Cricket Souvenir of the English Team touring Australia 1932-1933’. Rare 32pp small souvenir brochure produced for the New Zealand leg of the tour, comprising a foreword addressed ‘to the cricket-loving public of New Zealand’, fixtures, pen pictures, player biographies, advertisements etc. Printer’s stamp of G.W. Hall of Sydney to first page. Original pictorial covers preserved. Padwick II refers to a 48pp booklet published in Australia. However, according to Roy Ramsbottom’s work ‘Pamphlets and Programmes of the 1932-33 M.C.C. tour to Australia and New Zealand’ he notes that ‘A possible New Zealand variant of this brochure is also known. Comprising only 32 pages...’, of which this is a rare example. Minor foxing, otherwise in good/very good condition. A very scarce Bodyline publication
