Signed in ink to the centre team listings by the majority of players who took part. Signatures are Hammond, Paynter, Duckworth, Townsend, Mitchell, Smith, Stanford, Gunn, Bailey, Berry, Crapp (Jack Appelyard’s XI), Sutcliffe, Hutton (signed twice), Mitchell, Leyland, Barber, Wood, Turner, Robinson, Fisher, Fiddling, Watson (Sutcliffe’s XI), also by Wilfred Rhodes (umpire) and one other. The match was played to raise funds for a bed at Leeds Infirmary in Verity’s memory. Some creasing, ink blot to centre page not affecting signatures, otherwise in good condition.
