M.C.C. tour of India & Ceylon 1926/27. Madras Europeans v M.C.C., Madras Cricket Club Ground, Chepauk, Madras on 21st January 1927. This was a one day single innings game. Original mono joint team photograph of the two teams in front of the pavilion, the teams sitting and standing in rows wearing blazers and cricket attire. Players include A.E.R. Gilligan and C.P. Johnstone (the two captains), Parsons, Tate, Mercer, Brown, Boyes, Astill, Wyatt, Geary, Sandham of M.C.C. and E.A. Cowdrey (Father of Colin Cowdrey), R.H. Coleridge, H.P. Ward, K.O. Goldie, A.G. Penfold, E.K. Shattock of the Europeans. The photograph laid down to photographers mount, titles and players names to the top and bottom of the mount. Overall 15.5”x14”. The match was apparently drawn?. Good condition
