‘South Africa 1929 Cricket Team’. Large official mono photograph of the South African touring party to England, the players seated and standing in rows wearing cricket attire and caps, with the manager, Frielinghaus. Printed title to lower portion of the image. The photograph very nicely and fully signed in black ink by all sixteen original playing members of the touring party featured. Signatures are Deane (Captain), Ochse, Cameron, Taylor, Catterall, Vincent, Dalton, Mitchell, Quinn, Bell, Morkel, Christy, Siedle, McMillan, van de Merwe and Owen-Smith. Not featured in the photograph is J.P. Duminy who was co-opted to play in the latter part of the tour to cover for injury and illness. The photograph measures 11.5”x9.75”, laid to mount, overall 15.75”x11.5”. Photographer unknown. An excellent image in very good condition.
