England v New Zealand, The Oval 1931. Mono photograph of the England team, standing and seated in rows wearing various blazers, who played in the 2nd Test match played at the Oval in July1931. Players featured include Jardine, Sutcliffe, Duleepsinhji, Allen, Hammond, Tate, Ames, Verity, Peebles etc. The photograph measures 10”x8”. The photograph is loosely mounted to a card and is mounted with four small original photographs, one of six of the New Zealand team at the ground, and the other three show batsmen walking in having batted and the end of the match on the 3rd afternoon. Good condition. A nice image
England won by an innings and 26 runs. There were three centurions for England, Hammond, Sutcliffe and Duleepsinhji.
