M.C.C. 150th Anniversary 1937. Original mono photograph of ‘The glass goblet designed and engraved to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Marylebone Cricket Club, 1937’. The photograph measures approx. 6.5”x5.5”, mounted, framed and glazed, overall 11.5”x12”. Printed title to top mount margin, with caption to lower margin ‘Designed by Barnaby Powell. Made at the Whitefriar Glass Works. Diamond Point Engraving by W. Wilson. Quatrain by E.V. Lucas’. Photographer unknown. Previously sold as lot 445 in the Christies ‘M.C.C. Bicentenary Auction’ of 13th April 1987. Very good condition.
