Original mono press photograph of the England team seated and standing in rows wearing cricket attire for the 4th (final) Test v West Indies at The Oval, 12th- 16th August 1950. The photograph nicely and fully signed by all eleven members of the England team. Signatures are Brown (Captain), Hutton, Simpson, Bailey, Compton, McIntyre, Hilton, Bedser, Sheppard, Wright and Dewes. Central Press Photos. 10”x8’. Despite Hutton carrying his bat for 202no in England’s first innings, West Indies (503) beat England (344 & 103) by an innings and 56 runs to clinch the four match Test series 3-1, their first ever series victory in England.
