Gentlemen v Players & Kent v Sussex 1932, Northamptonshire 1947. Four large original sepia press photographs. Two feature action from Gentlemen v Players, Lord’s 1932, one of Wally Hammond batting for Players, the other a general view of the Lord’s ground with crowds in the foreground, scoreboard and stand in the background, Duleepsinhji and Nawab of Pataudi batting for the Gentlemen (both scored centuries). Sport & General, London. Two others are of play in progress, Kent v Sussex at The Mote, Maidstone, 1932, one of Langridge batting for Sussex off the bowling of Freeman, the other Valentine of Kent batting, both Central Press Photographs, London. All measure 11.5”x9.5”. Good condition. Sold with an official photograph of the 1947 Northamptonshire team seated and standing in rows wearing cricket attire, including Childs-Clarke (Captain), Clark, Brookes, Timms, Fiddling, Partridge etc. Photo by Eric Ager, Northampton, laid to tightly trimmed mount card, 11.75”x9.25”, pin holes to top corners, otherwise in good condition.
