Mason, Brighton.....’. 62pp. Second edition with the “Laws of Cricket as altered June 3rd, 1844”. Lower corner and some minor loss to the green front cloth wrapper extremities, some loss to the rear wrapper extremities, green cloth tape reinforcement to the spine otherwise in good condition. The book was published in paper wrappered copies at 2/6d and cloth copies at 3/- so this is the cheaper edition. William Denison is an important figure in cricket history, as he was the first true cricket journalist, reporting on matches for several newspapers all over the country and printing them in annuals such as this.
