Winifred Alice ‘Freda’ James. 1930s. Sepia real photograph postcard of James standing full length in tennis attire at the net. Very nicely signed in blue ink to the photograph ‘Freda James’. Printed title to lower edge. Published by E. Trim of Wimbledon, series no. T60. Postally unused. Minor wear to corners, otherwise a nice image in very good condition.
Freda James won the doubles in Grand Slam events three times, at the US Championship in 1933, and twice at Wimbledon in 1935 and 1936.
