The Manchester Derby. Season 1945/46. Manchester United v Manchester City. Original official single sheet double-sided programme for the Football War League match played at Maine Road on the 6th April 1946. ‘New Series No. 22’. Manchester City won 4-1. Scores annotated in ink to front fixtures page. Horizontal and vertical folds, some creasing and minor soiling, otherwise in good condition.
Although the Second World War had ended, war leagues continued for the 1945/46 season. Manchester United played their home games at Maine Road from 1941 to 1949 after Old Trafford was bombed.
