Arthur Edward Newton. Oxford University & Somerset 1885-1914. Single page typed letter from Newton to a collector, ‘Mr Hill’. Dated 19th June 1934, Newton is writing from his home in Taunton, replying to a request for his autograph. He hope to see the Australians play at Taunton and reports that he is still playing in club matches ‘in spite of being over 70’. Very nicely signed in ink ‘A.E. Newton’. Minor adhesive marks to verso where previously laid down, light folds, otherwise in good condition.
