Australian Tour of England 1926. Official Orient Line ‘R.M.S. Otranto’ folding menu for Luncheon given on board ‘Thursday, February 16th 1926’, the ship bringing the Australian touring team to England for the Ashes tour. The folding menu with photographic image of the ship to front cover, the inside with printed menu, and beautifully signed to the opposite side by sixteen of the touring party. Signatures are H.L. Collins (Cpt), Bardsley, Grimmett, Andrews, Taylor, Mailey, Gregory, Ellis, Ponsford, Woodfull, Oldfield, Ryder, Hendry, MaCartney, Richardson and Manager Sydney Smith. Bert Oldfield has signed the menu twice. Lacking the signature of Everett from the full touring party. The menu has split at the fold and has been repaired crudely with white sticky tape, some wear to corners and some age toning, small ink blot to menu side of the card otherwise in good condition.
