Oxford University 1914. Excellent original mono photograph of the Oxford team, standing and seated in rows wearing University C.C. blazers. This was the team that played Cambridge at Lord’s in July 1914. Players featured include F.H. Knott (Cpt), D.J. Knight, M. Howell, F.C.G. Naumann, O.C. Bristowe, W.G.K. Boswell, E.A. Shaw, B.G.V. Melle, G.R.R. Colman etc. Many went onto play first class cricket, two sadly perished in the first World War, Shaw and Boswell, both in 1916. The photograph attractively mounted, framed and glazed with title to lower border and players names measures 21”x19”. Good condition
