John Tyldesley. Lancashire & England 1895-1923. Excellent original mono photograph of Tyldesley in batting pose standing at the crease wearing a Lancashire cap. Photograph laid down to original photographer’s mount with handwritten title to lower border ‘J. Tyldesley. 1910’. 9.5”x11.5”, overall 13.5”x18”. Photographer unknown. Annotation in pencil to verso ‘Mr R.H. Spooner’ of Metheringham in Lincolnshire, presumably Reggie Spooner (Lancashire and England 1899-1921). Adhesive damage to a 0.25” border around the image, odd worm holes affecting the edges of the photograph and mount, otherwise in good condition. A nice image.
