Denis Charles Scott Compton. Middlesex & England 1936-1958. Original mono photograph of Compton, half length in classic ‘Brylcreem’ batting pose. Nicely signed in ink by Compton. 6.25”x8.5”. Some creasing, otherwise a good image in good condition
This photograph was probably the image used for his 1949 Brylcreem advert for the hair preparation which is very similar
