M.C.C. 1928/29. Large original mono photograph of the M.C.C. team who toured Australia in 1928/29, seated and standing in rows and wearing official tour blazers. The photograph laid down to original photographers mount and nicely signed in black ink to lower border by seventeen members of the touring party featured including the Manager, F.C. Toone. Signatures include Chapman, Jardine, Larwood, Hobbs, Leyland, Hammond, Mead, Tate, Sutcliffe, Hendren, Geary, Freeman etc. Lacking the signature of Staples from the full touring party. Original overmount to the photograph with original title and players names to top border and to side and bottom border printed scores from the five Test matches played, records and averages of the party to lower border. Framed and glazed, overall approx 30”x24.5”. Excellent image. Some ‘light’ fading to the signatures otherwise in good condition. Rare in this form with printed scores, averages etc. England won the series by four tests to one. Sold with a printed newspaper/magazine image of the ‘M.C.C. English Team 1903-04’, standing and seated in lines with printed records of the tour, averages, players names and results to the lower and side borders, title to top border. Mounted, framed and glazed. Overall 20”x15”. Good condition
