‘Astor’ c.1913. Nine original watercolour caricatures of cricketers after the Vanity Fair prints of Spy and Ape, all signed by the artist, Astor. Cricketers featured are Frederick Spofforth, J.T. Tyldeseley, K.S. Ranjitsinhji, B.J.T. Bosanquet, L.C.H. Palairet, Lord Dalmeny, H. Philipson, G.L. Jessop and G.J. Bonnor. Each measures 8”x12”. Some soiling to board edges where previously framed, otherwise in good condition.
