Warwickshire C.C.C. 1927 & 1928. Small album page laid down to a slightly larger page, nicely signed in black ink by seventeen members of the Gloucestershire team, the majority of whom played against Sussex at Horsham in 1927 and Hove in 1928, obtained by the collector, Juliet Pannett. Signatures are Wyatt, Bates, Quaife, Sanders, Croom, Smith, Cranmer, Calthorpe, Fox, Howell, Smart, Santall, Mayer, Parsons, Kilner and the rarer W.H. Barber (5 matches 1927-1939) and G.A. Palmer (9 matches 1928). 4.25”x5.5”. Minor soiling, otherwise in good condition.
Juliet Kathleen Pannett (née Somers) was a renowned portrait painter and artist. Notable subjects included Queen Elizabeth II, Field-Marshall Montgomery, Louis Armstrong, Leonard Bernstein, several prime ministers, and cricketers including Walter Hammond, R.E.S. Wyatt and Maurice Tate. She died in 2005.
