Hedley Verity. Yorkshire & England, 1930-39. Large original photograph of a man leading a horse and coal car with the business name to side ‘H. Verity. Coal Merchant, Harrogate Road, Rawdon to the side. A youthful Hedley Verity is sitting in the cart and his father (also named Hedley) is at the rear of the car leaning on the wheel. The photograph is mounted, framed and glazed and is overall 16.5”x13.5”. Some wear and faults to the image otherwise in good condition. Sold with a signed letter of provenance to this effect from G. Douglas Verity, son of Hedley, to the vendor and dated July 2001
