Hedley Verity. Yorkshire & England 1930-1939. Official M.C.C. Christmas card from the M.C.C. Tour of Australia 1932/33 (Bodyline Tour). With the cover decorated with the M.C.C. colours, caricatures of the M.C.C. team stood on a outline map of Australia and printed detail ‘Christmas Greetings 1932 from The M.C.C. in Australia Tour 1932-33’. Paper insert to inside with ‘With Sincere Wishes for a bright and Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year’. Signed simply ‘from Hedley’. A little scuffing and a few minor marks to covers otherwise good/very good condition. From the collection of Hedley Verity
Verity took 45 wickets at 17.98 (best 7-37) on the tour. He played in four of the five tests played taking 5-33 in the fourth Test, eight wickets in the match
