England v Australia, 3rd Test match, Leeds. July 1930. Original scorecard for the historic Test match where Don Bradman made the record Test score of 334. The folding scorecard, by Crosland & Co of Leeds with fully printed scores of the match. The scorecard beautifully signed in ink by the Australian team, signatures are Woodfull, Archie Jackson, Don Bradman, Kippax, McCabe, Richardson, a’Beckett, Oldfield, Grimmett, Hornibrook and Wall. Good/very good condition. A rarely seen scorecard of this iconic match and not often seen in this signed form
The Australians scored 458-3 on the first day of the Test with Bradman 309 not out, Bradman then went on the following day to increase his record score to 334 before being caught by Duckworth off Tate. He was the 6th wicket to fall and Australia recorded a first innings score of 566 all out. The Test match was drawn and Australia went on to win the series by two Tests to one. This was Bradman’s first tour of England. He scored 974 runs at an average of 139.14 during the Test series, with four centuries, including two double hundreds and a triple century. Bradman’s first-class tour total was 2,960 runs, at an average of 98.66 with 10 centuries, was another enduring record, the most by any overseas batsman on a tour of England
