M.C.C. tour of New Zealand 1935/36. Official tour programme with decorative wrappers in M.C.C. colours with picture of England Captain E.R.T. Holmes to centre and title above. The programme covering the M.C.C. v Wellington match played at the Basin Reserve, Wellington on the 20th-23rd December 1936 and also includes biographies of the players, itinerary, scorecards for the match, past tours etc. Signed to the front wrapper by twelve of the M.C.C. team including E.R.T. Holmes (Cpt), Barber, Hardstaff, Human, Langridge, Mitchell-Innes, Parks, Powell, Read etc. Lacking only the two signatures of Griffth and Sims from the fill touring party. Wrappers worn, torn, frayed and almost detached, small piece torn from the centre of the front wrapper and the top left hand corner missing from the rear wrapper otherwise in good condition. Sold with a souvenir programme for the Canterbury tour match held at Lancaster Park on the 24-26th December 1935. Staining to the top border of the front and rear wrappers affecting the internal pages, small hole to top and bottom borders of the front wrapper otherwise in good condition. Qty 2
