Rugby Union and League programmes 1940s-1960s. Thirty official match programmes from the collection of Alan Curtis, English actor and Lord’s cricket announcer. Includes one Rugby League programme for Wakefield Trinity v Wigan, Challenge Cup Final, Wembley 4th May 1946. The remainder are Rugby Union, earlier programmes include British Empire v France, Richmond, 28th April 1945, five Guy’s Hospital programmes from 1944/45 (2) and 1945/46 (3), St. Mary’s Hospital v Coventry 1945/46, London Welsh v Rosslyn Park 1945/46, London Scottish v Oxford University 1946/47, London Welsh v Llanelly 1946/47, Neath v St. Mary’s Hospital 1946/47, Harlequins v Oxford University 1946/47, Public Schools 7-a-side tournaments 1945/46 & 1949/50 etc. Also England internationals at Twickenham v France 1965 & 1967, v New Zealand 1967, New Zealand tour matches v London Counties, v Southern Counties from the 1963/64 tour, and v Barbarians 1967 etc. The majority with annotations in ink. Some wear and folds, overall in generally good condition.
