England player postcards early 1900s. A selection of fifteen early postcards, all of a similar ‘pink’ printed series, each depicting an English cricketer in various poses, with printed player’s name to lower border. The majority are from photographs by E. Hawkins of Brighton featuring P.F. Warner (Middlesex), Tip Foster (Worcestershire), Len Braund, Sammy Woods (Somerset), Tom Hayward, Bobby Abel (Surrey), C.B. Fry, K.S. Ranjitsinhji (Sussex), W.G. Grace, Gilbert Jessop (Gloucestershire), Jack Mason (Kent), Wilfred Rhodes (Yorkshire), Willie Quaife, F.S. Jackson (Warwickshire), also one of Dick Lilley (Warwickshire), photo by R.W. Thomas. Eight are postally unused, others postmarked 1904- 1907 and 1916. Some wear and soiling, otherwise in good condition.
