Printed and published by Edgerton & Moore, Melbourne 1899. 40pp. Original paper wrappers. Originally from the collection of J.N. Pentelow with his ownership signature in ink to front wrapper, dated 30th April 1899. Padwick 4362. Some wear and age toning to wrappers, old tape repair to spine, otherwise in good condition.
John Nix Pentelow was a prolific cricket writer on cricket history and statistics and was a noted author of boys’ cricket fiction. He was Editor of ‘Cricket: A Weekly Record of the Game’ 1911-1913, and co-edited its successor, ‘The World of Cricket’ which ran for twenty three issues in 1914, and also Ayres’ Companion in the 1930s.
