Kent County Cricket Club Annual 1887-1888. Hardback ‘blue book’. Original decorative boards. Gilt titles with silver gilt Kent emblem to centre. Printed by J. Burgiss-Brown, Maidstone 1888. Ownership name in ink to front endpaper of ‘A.J. Lancaster, Secretary, Kent County Cricket Club’. Annotations in ink to pp 5-10. Minor wear to board and spine extremities, otherwise in very good condition. Eleventh issue of the ‘blue book’.
The famous Kent ‘Blue Book’ was published annually from 1878 to 1946 with breaks in publication during the two World Wars (1914-18, 1940-44). Each issue contains a review of the season prior to the year of publication.
