Presentation copy from the author with dedication in ink to half title page to Henry Jones Esq., and an accompanying handwritten note overlaid, partially obscuring the original dedication, to ‘My dear Sir, nicely signed ‘W. Methven Brownlee’ and dated 17th July 1889. Padwick 7575. Staining and some wear to boards, internally in good/ very good condition.
