‘The Noble Game of Cricket. Illustrated and described from Pictures, Drawings and Prints in the Collection of Sir Jeremiah Colman at Gatton Park, Surrey. With an introduction by Clifford Bax’. Published for the collector by B.T. Batsford, London. 1941. 105 plates, some coloured and mounted. Original green buckram with gilt lettering and decoration, top edge gilt. Reasonable original dustwrapper with some tape repairs to underside edges of the dustwrapper. Published in an edition of 150 copies of which 100 were for sale, the other fifty were for ‘the Collector’. Sold with ‘Jeremiah James Colman. A Memoir’. Helen Caroline Colman. Privately printed, Chiswick Press 1905. Cream buckram covers, gilt title to front and spine, gilt to top page edges, other edges untrimmed. Good/ very good condition. Qty 2.
