Illustrated with eight plates. Original green tooled cloth with gilt title to front cover. One chapter on cricket pp 13-61, including a brief history of cricket in South Africa, accounts of the M.C.C. team visit in 1905/06, and the South African tour to England 1907. Other sports covered include rugby, football, tennis and golf. Ownership signature to front endpaper of H.J. Lamb who contributed the chapter on tennis. Padwick 3652. Some wear to board and spine extremities, otherwise in good condition.
