William Howard Vincent ‘Hopper’ Levett. Kent & England 1930-1947. Large leather cricket bag used by Levett during his cricketing career playing for Kent and England. The bag has central handles and a central lock, it is sealed by two straps and buckles and by metal clips at each end and measures 36” long. The bag has various remnants of travel labels at each end and the bag is inscribed ‘W.H.V.L.’ being Levett’s initials. The bag in generally worn, very minor breaking to stitching and small loss of leather to base otherwise in good overall condition for its age
William Howard Vernon ‘Hopper’ Levett. Kent & England 1930-1947. Levett played 142 matches for Kent as wicket keeper in the period, taking 283 catches and 195 stumpings. His highest score with the bat was 76. He toured India and Ceylon with the M.C.C. in 1933/34 playing in one Test match on the tour.
