‘Beach Cricket’. Attractive original painting in oils showing two children playing cricket on the beach, with family to the side and cliffs and the sea to background, location unknown. Signature of 'D’Aguilar' to lower right hand corner. Attractively mounted, framed and glazed. Overall 28”x24”. Very good condition.
Michael D’Aguilar (1922-2016) studied at The Royal Academy Schools from 1948 to 1953 winning a variety of awards, including the Leverhulme Scholarship. He was a winner of the Royal Drawing Society’s Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals and the Armitage and Silver Medal at the Royal Academy.
