M.C.C. tour to South Africa 1948/49. Original mono photograph of the M.C.C. touring party, seated and standing in rows in cricket attire and tour blazers. The photograph laid down to mount with printed title to top border and signed in ink to the lower border by eighteen players and officials. Players’ signatures include Mann (Captain), Hutton, Compton, Palmer, Jenkins, Gladwin, A. Bedser, Washbrook, Tremlett, Young, Crapp, Simpson, Watkins etc. Also signed by Simpson to verso. The photograph measures 10”x7.75” and with the mount overall 14.5”x13.5”. Minor wear otherwise in good condition
