A.C. Maclaren’s Anglo-Australian Team 1901-02’. Large, early and very impressive photograph of Maclaren’s team in what appears to be a park in Adelaide. The team dressed mainly in tour boaters and tour ties, standing and seated in two rows with Maclaren to centre. Players include Barmes, Blythe, Quaife, Jessop, Hayward, Jones, Lilley, Gunn, Braund etc. The photograph, by Terence McGann of Adelaide, with title to top and players names to lower border measures 19”x14”. The original mounted photograph has then been mounted, framed and glazed and measures overall 33”x29”. A beautifully evocative photograph from the golden age of cricket
A.C. MacLaren led a weakened touring party of cricketers on the tour of Australia in 1901-02. Australia won the Test series by four Test to one
