Wilfred Ernest Granville Payton. Nottinghamshire, Cambridge University & Derbyshire 1935-1949. Original sepia real photograph plain back postcard of Payton, head and shoulders wearing cricket attire. Very nicely signed in blue ink to the photograph by Payton. Official stamp to verso for A. Wilkes & Son, West Bromwich. Postally unused. Minor staining to left edge, otherwise in good/ very good condition.
Granville Payton’s first-class county cricket career was limited to one match for Nottinghamshire, against Cambridge University in 1935, and two for Derbyshire in 1949.
