Scarborough 1920s onwards. Six postcards relating to cricket at Scarborough including an excellent mono real photograph postcard of refreshments being served from a wooden crate by a vendor to jovial spectators, appears to be 1920s. Official stamp for Scarborough C.C. to verso. The others depict match action including an early mono postcard with printed title to side ‘Scarborough Cricket Carnival. England v. Australia- (Rhodes bowling.)’ Queen Series, T.T.S.’. Two mono real photograph postcards of similar elevated views of matches in progress with large crowds in attendance, probably 1950s, ‘Scarborough’ neatly annotated in black ink to lower edge of both. Publisher unknown. Also two later colour postcards, one by Dennis Productions no. S.0209, the other by E.T.W. Dennis & Sons of Scarborough. All postally unused. Very good condition.
