West Indies cricket and grounds 1920s-1960s. A good selection of nine postcards relating to West Indies cricket and grounds. Includes one with ornate printed title ‘Souvenir opening Grand Stand Kingston C.C. Sabina Park 25th January 1922’ and decorative border surrounding a mono cameo photograph of the new stand. Handwritten annotation in black ink to top left corner with unknown signature. Photo by Cleary & Elliott. Two colour postcards of cricket being played at Soufriere and Castries, St. Lucia, publishers unknown. A colour postcard of match in play at Queen’s Park, Trinidad, postmarked 1929, Muir Marshall & Co. Village children playing cricket in Antigua, ‘A Native Cricket Match’, Jose Anjo series no. 217. Sepia real photograph postcard of tennis being played in front of the pavilion at the Georgetown Cricket Club, British Guiana, and three mono real photograph postcards of action at Sabina Park, Jamaica, the scoreboard indicating the match was Jamaica v International Cavaliers played 9th- 11th January 1964. All postally unused unless stated. Good/ very good condition.
