Northamptonshire C.C.C. Two Godfrey Phillips ‘Pinnace’ premium issue cabinet size mono real photograph plain back trade cards of [C.N.] Woolley (Gloucestershire & Northamptonshire 1909-1931), head and shoulders wearing a cap, no. 108.C, and the rarer card in this format of [F.I.] Walden (Northamptonshire 1910-1929), full length in batting pose, no. 128.C, not seen or listed in Derek Deadman’s ‘Cricket Cigarette and Trade Cards’ 1985. Each 4”x6”. Very good condition.
Fanny Walden also played football for Northampton Town, Tottenham Hotspur & England 1909 to 1927. At only 5’2” he was one of the smallest players to appear in county cricket. On retiring as a player he became a first-class umpire and officiated in several Test matches.
