Lancashire C.C.C. 1882-1885. Three early original scorecards for Lancashire matches of the period. Scorecards are v. Middlesex, Lord’s, 17th & 18th July 1882. Incomplete printed scores. Lancashire won by nine wickets. Fixtures at Lord’s for season 1882 to verso. Small loss to lower corner, some age toning, otherwise in good condition. 4.5”x6”. Two others with complete printed scores for matches v. Leicestershire, Old Trafford, 12th- 13th June 1884 (not first-class), Lancashire won by an innings and 43 runs, Lancashire scoring 207, Leicestershire 33 and 131, John Crossland taking 11 wickets for 61 runs in the match. Heavy loss to edges, horizontal fold. Printed by W. Whittam, Sheffield. Also v. Gloucestershire, Old Trafford, 30th July- 1st August 1885, Dick Barlow scoring 108 in Lancashire’s only innings, W.G. Grace top scoring in both innings for Gloucestershire with 50 & 39, Lancashire winning by an innings and 92 runs. Loss to edges and corners, horizontal fold and age toning. Printer unknown. Both measure approx. 5”x7.5”. Mixed condition with faults as described.
