Sussex v. Yorkshire 1885. Early original double sided scorecard with complete printed scores for the match played at Hove, 24th- 26th August 1885. In a high scoring match, Yorkshire elected to bat first and reached 326, George Ulyett (82) and Louis Hall (87) putting on 128 for the first wicket. In reply, Sussex made 368, Billy Newham the top scorer with 101. Yorkshire then ended 345/6, Ulyett (91) and Hall (37) sharing another century opening stand of 108. The match was drawn. Printed by Crowhurst of Brighton with local advertising to verso. 5”x7.5”. Originally from the collection of F.M. Lucas who scored 63 for Sussex in their only innings. Some foxing, otherwise in good/ very good condition.
