M.C.C. & Ground v. Universities 1892. Two early original double sided scorecards, both with incomplete printed scores for matches played at Lord’s. One for the drawn match v. Cambridge University, 23rd- 25th June 1892. Cambridge scored 149 and 283, M.C.C. 229 and 187/7, just 17 runs short. The other for the match v. Oxford University, 27th & 28th June 1892. Oxford scored 150 and 335, M.C.C. 224 and 200/9 and, despite play being extended, the last pair John Rawlin (35no) and Freddy Geeson (28) held out for a draw. Both scorecards with printed fixtures at Lord’s for season 1892. Each 4.5”x6”. Light crease to one corner of the Oxford card, both with some foxing, otherwise in good condition.
