Middlesex C.C.C. 1919-1921. Ten original scorecards for ‘home’ County Championship matches played by Middlesex at Lord’s, all with incomplete printed and/ or handwritten scores unless stated. Each loose mounted to black page. Scorecards are v Kent 29th & 30th August 1919, match drawn. v Sussex (J.P. Whiteside’s Benefit), 22nd & 24th May 1920, Middlesex won by an innings and 130 runs with the top four Middlesex batsmen all scoring centuries (Warner 139, Lee 119, Hearne 116no and Haig 131) in their innings of 543/4 declared. v Hampshire 5th- 8th June 1920, Middlesex won by nine wickets (Hendren 183no). v Yorkshire 12th- 15th June 1920, match drawn. v Lancashire 19th- 22nd June 1920, Middlesex won by an innings and 37 runs (Hendren 183no). v Nottinghamshire 11th- 13th August 1920, Middlesex won by nine wickets (Hendren 232). v Surrey 28th- 31st August 1920, complete printed scores, Middlesex won by 55 runs, Plum Warner made his last appearance in County Championship matches. v Hampshire 11th- 13th May 1921, Middlesex won by four wickets. v Sussex 14th- 17th May 1921, Middlesex won by 153 runs. v Nottinghamshire 1st- 3rd June 1921, Middlesex won by an innings and 197 runs (Crutchley 145, Lee 243). Odd faults, overall in good condition.
Playing in his final season as captain, Plum Warner led Middlesex to win the County Championship in 1920. They retained the title in 1921 under the captaincy of Frank Mann.
