Nottinghamshire v. Northamptonshire 1923. Frank Matthews seventeen wickets in the match. Original commemorative silk scorecard for the match played at Trent Bridge 20th & 21st June 1923. Northamptonshire elected to bat first and were bowled out for only 77, Matthews taking a then career best eight wickets for 39 runs. In reply, Nottinghamshire declared their innings closed at 302/3, Arthur Carr scoring 106no. Northamptonshire were then bowled out for 116, Matthews surpassing his first innings achievement taking 9/50 and ending with match figures of seventeen wickets for 89 runs, Nottinghamshire winning by an innings and 109 runs. Printed by Charles H. Richards of Nottingham. The silk scorecard is mounted to card with tape to verso, overall 7.25”x9.25”. Very good condition.
